Stop reminders
If a customer disputes an invoice or you’ve agreed a payment plan, they shouldn’t get a reminder. That’s what Stop reminders is for: while the stop is in place, no reminder goes out — neither manually nor automatically. You set it for a single invoice or for all of a customer’s invoices.
For one invoice
Section titled “For one invoice”-
Open the invoice and, in its overview, click Stop reminders under Actions.
-
Enter a reason if you like — you and your team see it on the stop later.
-
Click Stop reminders.
You see Reminders stopped for this invoice. The invoice’s Payment reminders card now shows since when and by whom reminders are stopped, with the reason:
In the invoice list, the invoice carries the Reminders stopped label under Reminders — hover over it to see the reason.
Lift the stop
Section titled “Lift the stop”In the invoice’s overview, click Lift stop under Actions and confirm. You see Reminders resumed. The next one waits a full payment deadline.
- With automatic sending, the next reminder goes out at the earliest on the first working day after a full deadline — as many working days after lifting as set under Days between reminders. So the customer never gets a reminder the morning after you lift it.
- Manually, you can send a reminder right away.
For a whole customer
Section titled “For a whole customer”If a customer shouldn’t be reminded about any of their invoices:
-
Under Customers, click ⋮ → Edit on the customer — or Edit in the customer details on its overview.
-
Under Settings, switch on Stop reminders — no reminders to this customer and enter a Reason if needed.
-
Click Save changes.
Every invoice of the customer then shows Reminders stopped for this customer, with a note that it applies to all of their invoices. This stop can only be lifted on the customer: switch it off there. Here too, with automatic sending the customer first gets the full deadline.
