The UNENO Invoice dashboard
The Dashboard is the start page of UNENO Invoice: you land here when you open the app, and you can reach it at any time via Overview → Dashboard. It shows what happened in a period — new customers, quotes and invoices, where your invoices stand, what came in and what’s still open.
The period
Section titled “The period”At the top right you choose the period for the whole page. Clicking the date field opens the calendar with the quick picks beside it:
- Quick pick or your own range: click a quick pick — or choose the first and the last day in the calendar.
- Comparison: beside it you choose what the figures are compared with — vs. previous period (the default, September against August, for example) or vs. previous year (the same days one year back).
- Points: up to 92 days the charts show each day, above that each month.
- Keep it: the period is in the page’s address — a bookmark opens the dashboard with exactly this period.
The period the dashboard opens with is set under Settings → General with Dashboard period — Last 30 days by default.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”In a new workspace, the Before you start card sits at the top. It leads to the settings worth checking before your first invoice:
| Link | Opens |
|---|---|
| Business profile | Settings → Business profile — name, address, tax numbers and bank details for your documents |
| Number ranges | Settings → General → Number ranges |
| Documents settings | Settings → Documents settings — your logo |
| Texts & Emails | Settings → Texts & Emails — the texts and emails of your documents |
| Payment reminders | Settings → Payment reminders — reminder stages, fees and texts |
| Sending | Settings → Sending |
You only see the links to pages your role may open. ✕ hides the card — for the whole workspace and for good, so for your team members too.
The overview
Section titled “The overview”The overview shows what happened in the period:
| Column | Counts |
|---|---|
| New customers | The customers you created in the period. |
| Quotes issued | The quotes with a quote date in the period. |
| Invoices issued | The invoices with an invoice date in the period — including those paid or cancelled since. |
| New products | The products you created in the period. |
Below each figure is its change against the comparison period — green more, red less, grey the same; hover over it for the comparison period’s figure. The line beside it shows the course over the period.
At the bottom is the state now — how many customers, products and active schedules you have — and on the right the revenue in the period, net, counted as set under When revenue counts.
Invoices
Section titled “Invoices”The card has three parts:
- The chart shows the invoices issued in the period by where they stand today: Paid, Issued & sent (not fully paid yet and not due yet) or Cancelled. Overdue invoices are in the ring; drafts have no invoice date yet.
- As of today shows every invoice that’s with your customers, by its status from the invoice list: Paid, Open, Partially paid and Overdue. Drafts and cancelled invoices don’t count here. The ring doesn’t depend on the period chosen.
- Needs attention names what to act on: Overdue — the invoices overdue the longest — and Drafts from schedules that a recurring invoice created for review. Five of each with a link, below them how many more there are. When there’s nothing to do, it says All done.
Finance
Section titled “Finance”| Column | Shows |
|---|---|
| Issued | The net amount of the invoices with an invoice date in the period — cancelled ones don’t count. |
| Received | What came in, net, by the date of each payment — a partial payment pro rata. |
| VAT | The VAT on what came in. Grey, because more or less is neither good nor bad here. |
| Open | What is still to be paid on the period’s invoices — gross, reminder fees included. Here more is red. |
The columns show Received per day or month, the dotted line the same point in the comparison period; hover over them for both amounts with their dates.
At the bottom is what’s open now — across all invoices, not just the period’s — and in red the overdue part of it. Show overdue invoices opens the invoice list with the status Overdue.
When revenue counts
Section titled “When revenue counts”Whether revenue counts with the payment or with the invoice is set under Settings → General with Revenue & VAT on the dashboard — ideally matching how you account for VAT:
| Setting | When revenue counts |
|---|---|
| As payments arrive (cash basis) — the default | With every payment, on its payment date. A partial payment counts pro rata: paying half brings half the net amount and half the VAT. Reminder fees aren’t revenue. |
| By invoice date (accrual basis) | With every issued invoice, on its invoice date — paid or not. |
Either way, a cancellation invoice takes the revenue back in its own month — on the cash basis, whatever was paid on the cancelled invoice.
The setting applies to the revenue in the period at the bottom of the overview. Received in Finance always shows what actually came in. The setting only changes how the dashboard counts — your invoices and payments stay the same.
