A quote's overview

Every issued quote has its own overview. You open it by clicking the quote in the quote list — its number or its customer. A draft opens in the editor instead.

On the left you see the quote itself; on the right, what you can do with it, its Quote details — with the status as the first entry — and its History. ‹ Quotes takes you back to the list.

On the left, the quote is shown page by page — exactly the PDF that was created when it was issued and that your customer received. Anything you’ve changed since doesn’t change it: a new logo, another template, your new address or the customer’s new address. So you always see what you actually offered.

If the quote was declined, withdrawn or has expired, every page carries the stamp DECLINED, WITHDRAWN or EXPIRED — the PDF you download too. The quote underneath stays unchanged.

If the document can’t be shown, you see The document can’t be shown right now. Get it with “Download PDF”.

The next step is at the top of the card: Convert to invoice — or, once the quote has become an invoice, Open invoice. Below are the other actions this quote allows right now; the red ones after a line.

They’re the same actions as in the list’s ⋮ menu, with the same dialogs. If the customer has no email address, Send is greyed out; clicking it shows where to add one.

The card shows the details as of the day the quote was issued, in groups:

GroupWhat it shows
StatusWhere the quote stands — for a declined or withdrawn quote, the Reason you recorded below it.
CustomerThe customer with their contact person, the Billing address and, if the quote has one, the Shipping address. Clicking the customer opens their overview.
QuoteQuote date and Valid until — in the quote’s own format —, your Contact person and the quote’s Language.
InvoiceFor a converted quote, the invoice it became, as a link — or Draft while it hasn’t been issued yet.

The History lists what has happened to the quote — newest first, with date, time and who did it:

EntryMeaning
IssuedThe quote got its number.
SentSent by email — with the address it went to below.
Returned to draft for a correctionMade a draft again with Correct.
Marked as declined, WithdrawnYou find the reason in the quote details.

With more than eight entries, page through them at the bottom of the card.
