Rates never change on their own — you add or adjust a rate yourself, in seconds.
Your country’s rates are ready when you start — in Germany and France also four 0 % rates with their reason, such as reverse charge. One is your default, every product carries its own rate, and one invoice can mix them. Not charging VAT? One tick and the tax disappears.
When you start, UNENO creates the rates of your company’s country — the standard rate as your default.
Rates never change on their own — you add or adjust a rate yourself, in seconds.
Choose the rate per line — the editor shows the net amount and the VAT for every rate as you type, and the invoice prints them the same way, as invoicing rules require.
Each line takes its product’s rate — a product without one gets your default rate, never 0 %. Change it right on the line.
Enter the price you know; the other one is worked out from the rate. Invoices always calculate from net.
VAT is calculated once per rate on the net sum — the way the e-invoice standard EN 16931 asks for it.
A 0 % rate carries its reason: the invoice prints the matching note and the e-invoice the right category. You choose the rate on the line — Invoice never guesses it and never changes it.
Reverse charge — VAT to be accounted for by the recipient.
Tax-exempt intra-community supply (§ 4 No. 1b in conjunction with § 6a UStG).
Tax-exempt export delivery (§ 4 No. 1a in conjunction with § 6 UStG).
Not subject to German VAT (place of supply outside Germany).
Autoliquidation — reverse charge, VAT due by the recipient (art. 283-2 of the French CGI).
VAT exempt intra-community supply, art. 262 ter I of the French CGI.
VAT exempt export, art. 262 I of the French CGI.
VAT not applicable, art. 259-1 of the French CGI (place of supply outside France).
Under the small-business rule (§ 19 UStG) in Germany or the VAT franchise (art. 293 B CGI) in France you charge no VAT. Untick one box and UNENO takes care of the rest.
GermanyVAT exempt under the small-business rule (§ 19 UStG).
FranceVAT not applicable, art. 293 B of the French CGI.
Every invoice keeps the rates it was written with. Changing a rate never alters an issued invoice.
Adjust a rate and every product that uses it follows — no product-by-product editing.
CSV or Excel with net, VAT and gross per invoice — and the tax rate per item.
Every change in the activity log; who may view, create, edit or delete rates is up to the role.
The rates of your company’s country, created when you start — the standard rate as your default: in Germany 19 %, 7 % and 0 %, in France 20 %, 10 %, 5.5 %, 2.1 % and 0 %. German and French companies also get four 0 % rates with their reason: reverse charge, intra-community supply, export delivery and not taxable in the country. Every EU country, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia are covered.
Yes. Every line has its own rate — taken from the product and changeable on the line. The editor shows the net amount and the VAT for each rate separately — and the invoice prints them the same way.
Pick the matching 0 % rate on the line: “Reverse charge”, “Intra-community supply”, “Export delivery” or “Not taxable in Germany” (in France: “Not taxable in France”). The invoice prints the note that goes with it and the e-invoice the right category. Invoice doesn’t decide the treatment for you — but it points out a choice that doesn’t fit the customer, such as reverse charge without a valid VAT ID.
Yes. With several rates on one invoice, each VAT line names the net amount it is charged on — for example “VAT 7% on €250.00” — as invoicing rules require (in Germany § 14 (4) No. 7 UStG). With a single rate, one VAT line is enough.
You adjust the rate in the settings or add a new one — every product with that rate follows. Issued invoices keep the rates they were written with. Rates never change on their own.
Once per rate, on the sum of the net amounts, to the cent — not line by line. That is what the e-invoice standard EN 16931 prescribes, so invoice and e-invoice always add up the same.
In your company profile: untick “This business charges VAT”. From then on there are no tax fields, every line is at 0 % and every invoice carries the note: § 19 UStG in Germany, art. 293 B CGI in France (elsewhere a neutral “no VAT charged” note).
Yes. Every line and every product can take the gross price; the net price is worked out from the rate. The invoice itself is always calculated from net.
No. UNENO does not create your VAT return (in Germany the UStVA). Export your invoices as CSV or Excel with net, VAT and gross for your accountant — or, in Germany, as a DATEV export for your tax adviser.
An Austrian company starts with 20 %, 10 % and 0 %, a Swiss one with 8.1 %, 2.6 % and 0 %. Further rates — such as 13 % in Austria or 3.8 % in Switzerland — you add yourself in seconds.
