E-invoice & XRechnungviewer
Free, no sign-up — open XRechnung and ZUGFeRD files as a readable invoice. Your invoice is shown right in your browser and never uploaded anywhere.
- Free, no sign-up
- Every field with its BT number
- Nothing is uploaded
From XML to a readable invoice
The fields are mapped by KoSIT’s official XRechnung visualization of 13 Oct 2026, unchanged — the layout on top is ours.
- 01
Read in your browser
The file is opened on your device — an XML file directly, a ZUGFeRD / Factur-X PDF by the XML embedded in it. Nothing is uploaded.
- 02
Every field gets its number
KoSIT’s mapping brings UBL and CII to the same set of EN 16931 fields — each with its BT number, whichever syntax the invoice uses.
- 03
Shown as an invoice
Codes become words, amounts and dates take your format: unit “XPP” reads “piece”, payment means “58” reads “SEPA credit transfer”. Print it or save it as a PDF.
Your invoice stays in your browser
Invoices carry names, addresses, bank details and amounts. That’s why nothing is uploaded here — the invoice is opened and shown entirely on your device.
Only the program files come from us
When you open an invoice, your browser loads KoSIT’s mapping and the checking rules from uneno.eu. Your file never travels the other way.
No storage, no account
We don’t receive the file, don’t see its content and store nothing of it. No sign-up needed.
Attachments stay with you
Files embedded in the invoice are unpacked in your browser — a download saves them straight from your device.
Questions about the XRechnung viewer
Short answers to what people ask us most.
What does the XRechnung viewer show?
The e-invoice as a readable invoice: seller and buyer, line items with quantity, price and VAT, the totals with VAT per rate, payment details, delivery, notes and attachments. Under “All fields” you see every field of the file with its EN 16931 number, exactly as it stands in the XML.
Is my invoice uploaded or stored?
No. The file is opened and shown in your browser; only KoSIT’s mapping and the checking rules are loaded from uneno.eu. We never receive the invoice, so nothing of it is stored — and you don’t need an account.
Can I open a ZUGFeRD PDF?
Yes. The viewer reads the XML embedded in a ZUGFeRD / Factur-X PDF, whatever the profile, and shows the EN 16931 fields it contains — fields that only the EXTENDED profile knows aren’t shown. XRechnung and other EN 16931 invoices open as XML, in UBL or CII.
What are the BT numbers?
EN 16931 numbers every piece of information on an e-invoice: BT-1 is the invoice number, BT-10 the buyer reference (for public authorities, the Leitweg-ID), BT-115 the amount due. Groups of fields are BGs, such as BG-4 for the seller. Error messages and specifications refer to these numbers — “All fields” shows them next to each value.
Can I print the invoice or save it as a PDF?
Yes. “Print / PDF” prints the view on screen without the website around it; choose “Save as PDF” in your browser’s print dialog to get a file. That PDF is a readable copy — it is not an e-invoice itself.
Is the displayed invoice legally binding?
No. With an e-invoice, the XML file is the original — keep and archive that file. The view and its printout are for reading; KoSIT, which publishes the visualization, says the same about its own.
How do I get the attachments out of an e-invoice?
Files embedded in the invoice — a timesheet or a delivery note, for example — are listed under “Attachments” with a download button. They are unpacked in your browser and saved straight from your device; links to documents elsewhere open in a new tab.
Does the viewer tell me whether the e-invoice is valid?
Yes. Alongside the view, the same check as in our E-invoice checker runs with KoSIT’s rules. The result shows above the invoice — valid, not valid or not checked — and a click opens the full report with every error and warning.
