Customers & products

Set up what you sell once — on every document in one click.

Products and services with their price, unit and tax rate: pick them on any quote or invoice and the line fills itself. Change a price later and your issued invoices stay exactly as they were.

  • Products and services with price, unit and tax rate
  • An overview per product — where it’s used and what it billed
  • Later price changes never touch issued invoices
How it works

From catalogue to invoice line.

  1. 01

    Create it once

Product or service, an article number if you like, a price, a unit and a tax rate.

  2. 02

    Pick it in the editor

Start typing the name or reference on any quote, invoice or recurring invoice — name, description, unit, price and tax fill in.

  3. 03

    Adjust the line

Everything stays editable on the line — a special price, another quantity, a longer description.

Overview

Every product shows where it’s used.

Each product has its own overview: the quotes, invoices and recurring invoices it appears on, what you’ve billed with it — and its history.

  • Every quote, invoice and recurring invoice with the product — issued ones, drafts don’t count
  • What you’ve billed with it — net, from issued invoices
  • After a price change: the recurring invoices you may want to update
  • Its history — every change with its old and new value
Units & tax

Units and tax rates, ready from day one.

Both are set up for you when you start — and both are yours to extend.

Units

Ten units ready to use. Add your own from the standard UN/ECE codes — the code goes onto every e-invoice.

Tax rates

Set up for your company’s country — 19 %, 7 % and 0 % in Germany; 20 %, 10 %, 5.5 %, 2.1 % and 0 % in France. Add your own when you need one. A product without its own rate gets your default rate on the document.

Germany, for example
  • Standard rate19 %
  • Reduced rate7 %
  • Zero rate0 %

No VAT as a small business — § 19 UStG in Germany, the VAT franchise in France? Tax rates disappear — there is nothing to set.

Day to day

Built for everyday use.

  • Found in a second

Search by reference or name — filter by type, unit, tax rate and status.

  • Net or gross

Enter the price you know — the other one is calculated from the tax rate.

  • Free lines, too

Not everything needs to be in the catalogue — type any line straight into the document.

  • Archive, don’t lose

An archived product can’t be picked in the editor any more but keeps its overview — one switch brings it back.

  • Invoices keep their copy

Change a product’s price or name — every invoice that used it keeps the details it was written with.

  • Unique numbers

An article number is never used twice — not even by an archived item.

FAQ

Questions about the product catalogue

Short answers to what people ask us most.

Does a price change affect existing invoices?

No. Every document keeps its own copy of the line — issued invoices, drafts and recurring invoices alike. A new price applies the next time you pick the item.

Do I enter prices net or gross?

Whichever you prefer — the form calculates the other one from the tax rate. Prices are stored net, so totals and VAT always add up.

Does every line have to come from the catalogue?

No. Type any line straight into the document. The catalogue is there for what you sell again and again.

Which units are available?

Ten units are ready to use — piece, hour, day, month, kilogram, gram, litre, metre, square metre and package. You can add your own based on the standard UN/ECE codes used in e-invoices.

My business charges no VAT — do I need tax rates?

No. If your company is exempt — under § 19 UStG in Germany or the VAT franchise (art. 293 B CGI) in France — tax rates are hidden in the catalogue and in the editor, and your invoices carry the right note automatically.

Can I delete a product that is on my invoices?

No — only a product that isn’t used anywhere, one you added by mistake, for example. A product on a quote, an invoice or a recurring invoice stays; archive it instead: it can’t be picked any more, and its overview stays. Drafts of quotes and invoices don’t count — they keep their line either way.

Where can I see which documents use a product?

On its overview: every quote, invoice and recurring invoice with the product, and what you’ve billed with it — net, from issued invoices. After a price change, the recurring-invoices card shows the series you may want to update.
